چکیده
‘Niagara Steck’ and Variegada’ are two grapevine varieties that arose spontaneously as somatic mutants of Rosada’. Berries characterize at young stages exhibiting a remarkable brown reticulated structure on the epidermis which develops into brown-bronze russet-like berries ripe. The mature have strongly acidic flesh. shows notable variegation in leaves berries. Meiotic studies were carried out to ascertain if mutant phenotypes could be related any change chromosome number, or other irregularity. Floral buds both different developmental collected fixed for cytological analyses. Chromosome counts diakinesis/metaphase I showed n=19 bivalents varieties. Univalent, trivalent, tetravalent chromosomes chain configuration not recorded ruling possibility alteration number However, low percentages meiotic irregularities such stickiness, laggards, non-oriented chromosomes, precocious segregation, tetrads with one microcyte, microspore fusion, tetrad degeneration. total percentage abnormalities was higher (19.68%) than (14.40%) may contributed lower pollen fertility (79.80%) when compared ‘Steck’ (90.74%). aforementioned can propagated by hardwood cuttings constitute an interesting option ornamentation home backyards, patios, gardens advantage bearing sweet edible

The genus has been recognized as a potential source of...
متن کاملUpstream Regulatory Elements, Potential Targets and Expression Patterns of Three Drought Responsive miRNAs in Two Grapevine Cultivars
MicroRNAs (miRNAs), as a group of non-coding small RNAs, play key roles in regulating the growth, development and response of plants to various stresses. In this study, the expression patterns of three drought responsive miRNAs (miR159c, miR160a,b and miR169v) were compared in both drought tolerant (Yaghuti) and drought sensitive (Bidanesefid) grapevine cultivars using qRT-PCR under drought str...
متن کاملInterpretation of data obtained with recombination-defective meiotic mutants.
According to probability laws, additive interaction between factors influencing recombination frequency suggests that the factors affect the same event. This analysis, applied to Carpenter and Sandler's (1974) data, permits separation of different sequential events during establishment of preconditions for exchange. The validity of another mathematical model for meiotic mutant characterization,...
متن کاملMeiotic recombination-deficient mutants of Schizosaccharomyces pombe.
A mutant screen employing the ade6-M26 recombination hotspot was developed and used to isolate Schizosaccharomyces pombe mutants deficient in meiotic recombination. Nine rec mutations were recessive, defining six complementation groups, and reduced ade6 meiotic recombination 3-fold to greater than or equal to 300-fold when homozygous. Three recessive rec mutations analyzed further also reduced ...
متن کاملMeiotic chromosome morphology and behavior in zip1 mutants of Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
The yeast Zip1 protein (Zip1p) is a component of the central region of the synaptonemal complex (SC). Zip1p is predicted to form a dimer consisting of a coiled-coil domain flanked by globular domains. To analyze the organization of Zip1p within the SC, in-frame deletions of ZIP1 were constructed and analyzed. The results demonstrate that the C terminus but not the N terminus of Zip1p is require...
